Apply for Next Up Singing Competition

Melbourne’s next great voice starts here.

Whether you’re an emerging artist, seasoned performer, or stepping onto a stage for the first time, Next Up is your opportunity to perform live, receive professional feedback, and compete for a place in the Grand Final.

How It Works

Step 1: Pay the $10 Application Fee

A one-off, non-refundable application fee is required to submit your entry.

Every applicant receives written feedback from our industry judging panel, even if they are not selected for the live rounds.

Step 2: Complete Your Application

After payment, you’ll receive an email with a link to the official application form.

You’ll be asked to provide:

  • Performance video

  • Headshot

  • Category selection

  • Artist information

  • Booking reference number

Step 3: Judging & Selection

Our panel reviews all submissions and selects performers to progress to the live competition rounds.

If You’re Selected

Successful applicants will be invited to perform live and will be required to pay:

Competition Entry Fee

$59 (One-Off Payment)
Covers your participation throughout the competition, including progression to the Grand Final if you advance.

Performance Video Package

$59 Per Performance
A professionally filmed two-camera recording with live audio from your performance.

Optional Extended Feedback

$39
Receive a personalised two-minute voice message from the judging panel with detailed performance feedback.
